Learning:

----- 2022 July (Article 01) ----- "Incentive increases the demand. That’s how I was taught since secondary school and I have believed in this for three years. However, when I worked on this article, I was surprised by how incentives could actually decrease people’s demand, which could only be explained in behavioural economics. It was the first time that I got in touch with behavioural economics and I indeed learned many concepts of behavioural economics through researching further on this article. These widen my perspectives of seeing the issues surrounding me and allow me to examine things from a more critical perspective. Moreover, through making the video, I not only learned more about different audio and video editing tools, but also gained many insights on how to use different visual effects to help illustrate ideas."

----- 2022 December (Article02) ----- "In the Economic courses I had, it is very common to have the assumption that “the market is efficient” in order to draw a general conclusion. Previously, I have never thought about what would happen if this assumption is violated. By making the video based on Prof. Li’s article, I have gained more insights into what an inefficient real-world market is like and how it will affect one’s career. Moreover, I am also shocked to learn how graduating into a recession will significantly impact people’s career life, which provokes me to plan ahead for my life journey."

----- 2023 April (Article03) ----- "Through creating the video, I was able to reflect on what I have learned from my coursework and deliver them with more vivid examples and illustrations. I also gained more understanding of how cryptocurrency is being used for fraud and how an ICO is different from an IPO. Additionally, I learned more presentation skills through video-making. I am more aware of how I could use my tone and pauses to facilitate the delivery of messages."

----- 2023 April (Article04) ----- "By creating this video, I have learned more about the causes and consequences of the 2023 bank failure. Through researching the reasons behind the recent rate hikes, I have also gained more knowledge on why contractionary policies can be ineffective and how geopolitics can worsen economic problems of countries. "
